Bundoran Farm
Charlottesville, Virginia
In southern Albemarle County, along the upper branches of the Hardware River and into the hilltops, there endures a 2,300-acre farm. About 1,100 acres are given to pasture (supporting as many as 500 head of cattle), 1,000 acres are conserved as managed forest and 200 acres are occupied by apple orchards and vineyards. Just 105 homesites are carefully situated in the seams, commanding spectacular views for their owners and proud stewards of the land. Each has been strategically positioned to ensure that the diverse activities are not in any way compromised, so that the land may remain productive in perpetuity.
